We fully understand the importance of privacy protection to you, so we have formulated this Privacy Policy to inform you about how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use OK Chat. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Before using OK Chat, ensure that you have fully understood and agreed to the contents of this Policy. If you do not agree to any clause of this Privacy Policy, it may affect your use of OK Chat.

  1. Sensitive Personal Information: Refers to personal information that may endanger personal and property safety if leaked, illegally provided or abused, and may easily lead to damage to personal reputation, physical and mental health or discriminatory treatment, such as biometric information, religious beliefs, specific identities, medical and health information, financial accounts, location tracking information, etc.
  1. User: Refers to a natural person who uses OK Chat.
  1. In-App Address Book: Refers to an exclusive contact management module set up by OK Chat to facilitate your management of social relationships, which is used to store the information of friends you have successfully added in OK Chat.
2. How We Collect Your Information
  1. Registration and Login Information: When you register or log in to OK Chat, we will collect your username, password, mobile phone number, email address and other information to create and manage your account and ensure that you can normally use all functions of OK Chat. You can also choose to log in with a third-party account (such as a Google Account). In this case, we will obtain the relevant information shared by you with authorization from the third party.
  1. Friend and Chat Information: To realize social functions such as adding friends, chatting with friends and private chatting, we will collect your friend list information, as well as the text, pictures, voices, videos and other chat contents you send and receive during the chat. Among them, after you successfully add another user as a friend, we will automatically collect and store the basic information of that friend (including the friend's username, avatar, account ID in OK Chat and the note name you set for the friend) into your In-App Address Book, so that you can quickly find and contact friends and manage social relationships. This information is only used to realize the corresponding social functions and transmitted between you and your friends. We will not use it for other purposes without your consent.
  1. Device Address Book Information: To help you more conveniently find contacts in your device who have used OK Chat and add them as friends (avoiding the trouble of manually entering contact information), we will obtain the contact names, mobile phone numbers and other information in your device's system address book only after obtaining your explicit authorization. We will only use the device address book information for the "Friend Recommendation" function (i.e., showing you users in your device address book who have registered OK Chat). We will not store the complete device address book data, nor will we use the device address book information for other purposes or share it with third parties. If you refuse to authorize, it will only affect the use of the "Device Address Book Friend Recommendation" function, and will not affect the normal operation of other core functions of OK Chat (such as chatting, posting updates, and managing the In-App Address Book).
  1. Update Information: When you post updates on OK Chat, we will collect the text, pictures, videos, location information (if you choose to enable location sharing) you post, as well as relevant comments, likes and other interactive information. We will review the update content to ensure that it complies with laws, regulations and community rules. During the review process, we may temporarily store the relevant content. After passing the review, the content will be displayed normally. If illegal or non-compliant content is found, we will handle it in accordance with the regulations.
  1. Device and Network Information: To ensure the normal operation of OK Chat and optimize the user experience, we will collect your device model, operating system version, device identification code (such as IMEI, MAC address), network connection status, IP address and other device and network information. This information helps us provide you with an adapted version of OK Chat, diagnose software faults and prevent security risks.
  1. Other Information: During your use of OK Chat, we may also collect information about your use of software functions, operation records, browsing history, etc., to understand your usage habits and preferences and provide you with more personalized services and function recommendations. If you participate in activities or questionnaires held by OK Chat, we will collect the relevant information you provide in the activities or questionnaires.
3. How We Use Your Information
  1. Providing and Improving Services: We use the collected information to operate, maintain and improve the functions and performance of OK Chat, ensuring that you can smoothly use various services such as adding friends, chatting, posting updates and managing the address book. Among them, the friend information stored in the In-App Address Book will be used to provide you with basic social functions such as friend search, quick chat initiation, friend note setting and group management; the device address book information is only used to realize the "Device Address Book Friend Recommendation" function to help you quickly locate and add friends. By analyzing your usage data, we can optimize the user interface and interaction process of OK Chat, improve the stability and response speed of the software, and provide you with a better user experience.
  1. Personalized Recommendations: Based on your personal information and usage behavior, we may provide you with personalized content recommendations, including friend recommendations, update recommendations, activity recommendations, etc. For example, recommending registered contacts according to your device address book information, recommending other friends you may be interested in according to the interaction frequency, interests and chat topics with friends in your In-App Address Book, and pushing high-quality updates on relevant topics according to the types of updates you browse and like.
  1. Security Protection: We use the collected information to identify and prevent security risks, and protect the security of your account and personal information. For example, detecting abnormal logins by analyzing device information and login behavior; identifying and blocking the spread of spam, fraudulent information and content that violates laws, regulations and community rules by monitoring chat content and update postings; and assisting in judging abnormal social behaviors (such as adding a large number of unfamiliar friends in batches, frequently sending messages to non-friends) through the friend relationship in the In-App Address Book to prevent account theft or abuse.
  1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: When required by law, we may use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to requests from government agencies or participate in legal procedures. For example, providing user information related to a case (including friend relationship information in the In-App Address Book, which will be provided in strict accordance with legal procedures if necessary) according to the legitimate requirements of judicial organs.
4. How We Store Your Information
  1. Storage Location: We will store your personal information globally, and the storage servers may be located in different countries or regions. We will take reasonable technical and management measures to ensure that your personal information is fully protected regardless of the storage location. Among them, the friend information in the In-App Address Book will be stored in association with your account information, and the storage period is consistent with the usage period of your account (i.e., it will be stored continuously during your use of OK Chat and deleted in accordance with regulations after you cancel your account); the device address book information is only temporarily processed within the necessary period for realizing the "Friend Recommendation" function. We will not store the complete device address book data for a long time. After the recommendation function is completed or you withdraw your authorization, we will immediately delete the relevant temporary data.
  1. Storage Period: We will only retain your personal information for the shortest time necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, unless laws require or allow a longer retention period. For example, during your use of OK Chat, we will retain your account information, friend information in the In-App Address Book and relevant usage records; after you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information (including all friend information in the In-App Address Book) within a certain period in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. For chat records and update content, after you actively delete them or we delete them because they violate laws, regulations and community rules, we will clean them up within a reasonable period.
  1. Deletion Rules for Information in the In-App Address Book: When you delete a friend in OK Chat, we will immediately remove the relevant information of that friend (including username, avatar, account ID and note name) from your In-App Address Book, and at the same time stop the relevant services provided based on this friend relationship (such as friend update push, friend-specific chat channel); if your friend actively cancels their account, we will automatically clear the friend's information from your In-App Address Book after the friend's account cancellation is completed, and inform you through a system notification that "this friend's account has been cancelled".
5. How We Share, Transfer and Disclose Your Information Publicly
  1. Sharing: We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. We will share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:
  1. Transfer: We will not transfer your personal information to other companies, organizations or individuals unless we obtain your explicit consent or transfer it in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations or the requirements of competent authorities. In the event of business transfers involving company mergers, divisions, acquisitions, bankruptcy liquidation, etc., if the transfer involves personal information (including information in the In-App Address Book), we will ensure that the new undertaker complies with this Privacy Policy or reaches a new privacy protection agreement with you to protect your personal information rights and interests.
  1. Public Disclosure: We will not disclose your personal information publicly unless we obtain your explicit consent or make necessary public disclosures within the scope permitted by laws and regulations to comply with laws, maintain public interests or protect the legitimate rights and interests of us, you or other users. For example, in the process of handling illegal and criminal activities, we may publicly disclose relevant user information (including friend relationship information in the In-App Address Book, which will be disclosed in strict accordance with legal procedures if necessary) in accordance with the requirements of law enforcement agencies.
6. Your Rights
  1. Right of Access: You have the right to access your personal information stored in OK Chat, including account information, friend information in the In-App Address Book (you can view the username, avatar, account ID and note name of all friends through the "Address Book" module), chat records, update posting records, etc. You can view and manage your personal information at any time through the setting function or relevant operation interface of OK Chat. You can submit a correction application to us through the feedback channel provided by OK Chat, and we will update the relevant information for you in a timely manner after verification.
  1. Right of Deletion: Under the circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations, you have the right to request us to delete your personal information. For example, you can directly delete a specific friend in the In-App Address Book (after deletion, the friend's information will be immediately removed from your address book); when you cancel your account, we will delete all personal information related to your account (including all friend information in the In-App Address Book) in accordance with regulations; when you find that our processing of your personal information violates laws, regulations or the agreement of this Privacy Policy, you can also request us to delete the relevant information. 1. Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to withdraw the consent you previously gave us for the collection and use of certain personal information at any time. For example, you can withdraw the authorization for obtaining device address book information through the device system settings (such as "Settings - App Permissions - Address Book") or "Privacy Settings - Device Address Book Permission" in OK Chat (after withdrawal, the "Device Address Book Friend Recommendation" function will be stopped, but the normal use of the In-App Address Book will not be affected); you do not need to additionally withdraw the consent for "storing friend information in the In-App Address Book" (this operation is an essential part of the friend-adding function. If you refuse this operation, you will not be able to normally use the friend-adding function and subsequent social functions, and you can remove the information by deleting friends). After canceling the account, we will delete or anonymize all personal information related to your account (including all friend information in the In-App Address Book, temporary device address book data, etc.) within a certain period in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and you will no longer be able to use all functions of OK Chat.
7. How We Protect the Security of Your Information
  1. Technical Measures: We adopt a variety of technical means to protect the security of your personal information, including but not limited to encrypted transmission, encrypted data storage, access control, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, etc. For example, when you transmit personal information, we use encryption protocols such as SSL/TLS to encrypt the data to prevent the data from being stolen or tampered with during transmission; we encrypt the stored sensitive personal information (such as account passwords, mobile phone numbers) to ensure data confidentiality; we adopt the "account association + permission isolation" storage method for the In-App Address Book data, so that only you can access and manage the In-App Address Book information of your account; we adopt the "desensitization + temporary caching" mechanism for the device address book information, only extracting the necessary contact identifiers for friend matching, not storing the complete device address book, and immediately clearing the temporary cached data after the matching is completed.
  1. Management Measures: We have established strict information security management systems and internal processes to standardize the access and use permissions of employees to personal information. Only authorized employees can access and process your personal information (including information in the In-App Address Book), and they must abide by strict confidentiality obligations. We regularly conduct information security training for employees to improve their awareness of information security and protection skills.
  1. Emergency Response: We have formulated an emergency response plan for information security incidents to deal with possible security incidents such as leakage, loss and tampering of personal information. Once a security incident occurs (such as unauthorized access to the In-App Address Book information, leakage of temporary device address book data, etc.), we will immediately activate the emergency response plan, take measures to reduce the impact of the incident on you, such as notifying you in a timely manner, reporting to relevant regulatory authorities, and cooperating with relevant authorities in investigation and handling.
